All our courses are mixed, open to everyone, all levels combined.

Kindness is one of our core values and is essential to learning.

3 - 4 years

The 3-4 year old group is the first group that can be joined, it welcomes the club's youngest girls in the red room of the Gymnasium.
Although they are very young, 3-4 year olds are capable of a lot of things!
The way the exercises are explained is slightly different than in the older groups. The exercises are much more detailed and illustrated so that the gymnasts can assimilate and reproduce the movements. Some movements have animal names for example.
Learning at 3-4 years old involves psychomotor skills. At this age, gymnasts are not yet aware of the limits of their body and the place it occupies in space.
Emphasis is also placed on body technique and more particularly on the basic movements which will serve gymnasts throughout their gymnastics journey.
The manipulation of apparatus also constitutes an important part of the course. Three apparatus are proposed: the ball, the hoop and the rope. As for the clubs and the ribbon, these are introduced to the gymnasts in the form of a game but are not the subject of in-depth learning.
Some of the club's gymnasts began their training at the age of 3-4 and are now experienced instructors within the club.
A long sporting career awaits your children.
Gymnasts stay in this group for a maximum of 2 years.
The 3-4 year old course is not public but you will have the opportunity to discover your children's work during the St-Nicolas visit, during the club party and during an open parent/child course organized once a year.

6 - 8 years

For 1h30, gymnasts discover the world of rhythmic gymnastics through body technique (jumps, pivots, balances, etc.), flexibility and strengthening exercises for different parts of the body and the apparatus technique that is characteristic of our discipline (rope, hoop, ribbon, clubs, ball). We attach importance to ensuring that all of these lessons remain fun. Rhythmic gymnastics at this age must remain above all a leisure activity, which is why we combine learning with music and in a fun way.
Gymnasts stay in this group for a maximum of 3 years.
During the year, the tests & patents are organized, where the gymnasts will present two choreographies with apparatus (bronze and silver test).
Another opportunity to appreciate the work carried out during the year is the arrival of Saint-Nicolas, the club's festival, a great spectacle where young and old can discover the values of the club but also and above all our magnificent sport which is rhythmic gymnastics.

+ 12 years

It is important to make the classes very attractive in order to keep our teenagers motivated: whether it is for warm-ups, body technique and apparatus technique.
Coaches come every week with new ideas and challenges. We are lucky at the moment to have Instagram and its multitude of videos in addition to the teachings we bring to the gymnasts.
The key word for +12s is "communication", coaches spend a lot of time talking with their gymnasts to find out what they want, what their gymnastic goals are.
Gymnasts need to have someone who guides them, teaches them new things and pushes them to go beyond what they already know how to do. If they have already been able to discover rhythmic gymnastics before, both in jumps, pivots, balances and flexibility or, if this sport is a new one, our goal is to introduce RG in the best conditions.
In our club, a dynamic has been created: each gymnast tries to pull the others up. By giving advice and motivating the group. There is no competition between the gymnasts.
The instructors will show them that rhythmic gymnastics is a sport with infinite possibilities for exercises.
Great friendships are made at the club and that's worth its weight in gold!

5 - 6 years

We meet gymnasts aged 5 and 6 every Wednesday in the purple room on the first floor of the gymnasium. This friendly room, equipped with large mirrors, allows children to learn the basics of rhythmic gymnastics. For 1h30 every week, we work on discovering movement, a sense of rhythm, body expression, apparatus technique, spatial orientation, etc.
It is through fun learning that gymnasts develop the foundations of the discipline. Classes are not open to parents, but you will have the opportunity to be dazzled by the progress of your children throughout the year, during the Saint-Nicolas show, the Mickey test and the unmissable club party. We look forward to welcoming your children to the club and passing on our values and the pleasure of practicing this sport. Welcome to the big Gym RS Auderghem family!
Gymnasts stay in this group for a maximum of 2 years.

9-12 years

In the 9-12 year olds, the group of gymnasts who move up from the 6-8 year olds and the group of beginners do not take a brevet in the first year. So that they can acclimatize and find their marks. Depending on the number of gymnasts, there will be a group of Gold tests and a group of A brevets.
Gymnasts stay in this group for a maximum of 3 years.
During these 3 years, gymnasts learn, discover and acquire the basics to move on to the +12 year old course. It is a long-term job.
Gymnasts learn to do exercises on both the left and right sides.
This 9-12 year old group allows gymnasts to learn the precision of movements as well as body posture. The instructors will guide, supervise and correct the gymnasts.
The explanations will be structured and detailed for each exercise and sequence of movements.
In recent years, the club has acquired equipment (elastic bands, blocks, weights, inflatable pads, mats).
Why use this equipment? So that warm-ups are more varied and gymnasts work all muscle groups.
During the patent period and club party, the instructors will do warm-ups with the various apparatus in addition to the equipment. This allows the gymnasts to work on apparatus technique while warming up.
Gymnasts who spend their final year in the 9-12 age group are prepared for the change in age group by already teaching them certain exercises that are done in the +12 age group.

Adults

The adult course is above all a very heterogeneous group!
The courses are varied and adapted to the objectives and expectations of each person. The courses take place while respecting the abilities of all.
A dance is performed for the club party with a GR part and a part without apparatus. This allows everyone to find something for them. It is a class that allows us to discover this discipline, to do muscle strengthening, to work to music and to evacuate the stresses of the week while learning and having fun.
